Eather was born September 27, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York to Reather Mae and Roosevelt Thomas Harley. She was the third of five children, Eddie Lee, Curtis Lee, Yulea Mae and Denise Pearl, all of whom preceded her in death.
Eather was educated in the New York City public school system. She has one job her entire life. She was employed as a United States Postal Service worker stationed at J.F.K. International Airport. She started working there at the age of 18. Her mother’s leadership and influence as a Pastor meant that as a teen most of her time was spent in Church. She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memory six nieces, three nephews, and a host of other relatives.
Eather loved God, fashion, food, traditional Christian music, people in general, traveling, her job and her family. She has hosted many parties over the years. She was most proud of the gatherings she hosted at the Waldorf Astoria. She has hosted many Christmas parties there, her own Retirement party and other family gatherings. Eather was known as the life of the party, friendly, talkative and optimistic.
Throughout her life, she would choose to go forward and never let life get her down. She would tell you exactly what she believed and how she saw things. We will not let her passing leave us empty, as this love will remain in our hearts forever.
