George Giamboy Obituary

George Michael Giamboy, at age 57, passed away after trying to flirt with the hospice nurse just moments earlier. Ladies man and outlaw in his own mind, George told his last inappropriate joke on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, which cannot be printed here. Anyone else fighting ALS would have gone quietly into the night, but he ensured that it would be on his terms.

George lived multiple lives in his 57 years on earth.  There are rumors he had a Vegas wedding, worked at every auto collision facility on the East Coast, was on Willy Nelson's tour bus, was a proud season ticket holder to Longwood Gardens, owned a significant amount of stock in Columbian coffee, and could accurately recite every episode of Seinfeld.  Although George never shared his entire life's experiences with a single person, what is known, is earlier in George's life, people flocked to him fully aware that hanging out with him would almost certainly end in a night in jail, a burnt turkey, or a killer hangover.  Later in life, George became friends with Bill, where he found his forever home and family.  George's arms never tired of opening the door for  a newcomer. He died as he lived: he wrote his own rules, he loved and cared with intensity, and he paved his own way. George always came out on top and if you said he couldn't do it, he would make sure he did it twice.

When George knew his passing was imminent, he was asked if he wanted anything particular in his obituary.   He requested his mysterious life not be divulged, but in true George fashion, he wanted to thank everyone who has been with him on his journey.  Although George was known for making a horrific cup of coffee, he is looking forward to the future where he will get to share another cup of coffee with his friends and family, Sarah Duffy, his Princess Ninja, Nephews Good Boy Tucker and Bad Boy Hunter, best friends Joe Giantonio, John Marchant, and Dan Munley.  His "I'm God's favorite team;"  Meatball Linda Busillo, South Philly Dana Morgan, Beautiful Soul Amy Darlington, Walker Richard Devlin, and Edible Queen Collette Barlow. Last but not least, the amazing staff and residents at Pocopson Nursing Home in West Chester, PA who showed him the definition of love and where he secretly honed his talents at becoming an expert Bingo cheater.

A future private Celebration of Life will be held by those who loved and supported George.
